This axe handle says everything. Diehard Ridge is one of the rockiest and hottest sections of singletrack you ever want to ride. It runs north-south just east of Sparks (Reno) Nevada. The entire ridge is littered with volcanic rock set in brick-hard clay, but some intrepid soul saw fit to scratch out miles of singletrack.

Check out the Flaming Chicken. This piece original sculpture marks the intersection of the "Zipper" and Spanish Springs Loop. It's some relatively new singletrack in the Pah Rah Range east of Sparks (Reno) Nevada. From here the trail drops awaythrougha series of about a dozen of the wildest, most nerve-wracking hairpins I've ever seen. Gotta love it.
